Who's afraid of Kaliningrad? Between 1945 and 1991, ultra-militarized and ultra-secret, the Soviet enclave housed the strongest Soviet military contingent, stocks of conventional and nuclear weapons, hundreds of barracks and the Federal School of Secret Services.

The multimedia report The Sounds of War in the Heart of Europe (Les bruits de la guerre en plein cœur de l’Europe) for the French investigative media Mediapart by the team of freelance journalists Prune Antoine, Jan Zappner and fixers.press reporter Gil Skorwid.
